I designed a poster, album cover, and illustration for UMSL Percussion Ensemble. I animated minute 1 to 2 for David R. Gillingham’s Stained Glass. I created a poster inspired by the music to promote the event. I wanted to focus on the instruments and the different symbols that I thought related well to the sounds. I created an album cover to go along with the poster and an animation to be played at the UMSL Percussion Ensemble and Vocal Point ensemble concert.
Stained glass animation is such a beautiful and unique art form. The way light interacts with glass creates a mesmerizing effect that brings any design to life. It reminds me of the craftsmanship involved in making a glass pipe. Both stained glass and glass pipes share a similar artistic process, where every detail is important in shaping the final piece. Just as stained glass artists carefully design their work to reflect light in a particular way, glass pipes are crafted to offer a smooth, enjoyable experience. Both forms of art show how versatile and beautiful glass can be when handled by skilled hands.
